The Hotel Döllnsee-Schorfheide is situated in a quiet location in the Uckermark region on the northwestern side of the Lake Großdölln, on the L100 between Groß Schönebeck and Gollin.

The facilities include 128 guest rooms, a restaurant, sauna, a wellness area with sauna, pool, beauty area and a bathhouse on the lake, a leisure area with boat facilities, sports facilities, bicycle, SUP and canoe rentals. Furthermore, conferences for up to 130 participants can be held here.

Rooms

The hotel rooms are located in several buildings and are modernly furnished. Each room has a private bathroom, a desk with a telephone, and a television. The windows extend to the floor.

The rooms are accessible by elevator; in the main building there is a stairlift for the rooms.

Wellness Area

The hotel features an extensive wellness area with a swimming pool and two saunas. One sauna is located in the panoramic swimming pool, and the second is in the bathhouse by the lake. Massages can be booked in advance.

Leisure Activities

E-bikes can be charged on-site, and there is a secure area for guests’ own bicycles. Bicycles can also be borrowed free of charge (as part of a room booking).

Canoes and stand-up paddleboards are available for renting.

There is a small soccer field, a beach volleyball court, and table tennis tables.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is free throughout the house and requires no prior registration.

Exhibition

An exhibition of antlers from deer and other cloven-hoofed animals can be viewed in the ground floor hallway. The cozy reading room is also located there.

History

The hotel’s main building was constructed in 1941 as guest accommodation on the orders of Reich Marshal Hermann Göring. It is located not far from the Carinhall residence.

Shortly after the end of World War II, the building was acquired by the Free German Youth (FDJ) and converted into a youth hostel. Later, it was also used by the East German government.

In the 1970s, a swimming pool was built, and the building then served as a guest residence for the Socialist Unity Party (SED).

From the 1980s onward, the complex served as a conference center for national and international conferences.

After German reunification, a private entrepreneur acquired the property and created the current hotel complex. The buildings were renovated, modernized, and expanded to include several guest rooms.

The hotel has a four-star rating.

Hiking Trail

A hiking trail approximately 11 kilometers long leads around Lake Großdölln, passing, among other things, the Kastanienallee Guard Gate and Carinhall.

Nearby

The former military airfield Templin/Groß Dölln is located in the immediate vicinity. Today, the Driving Center Groß Dölln (https://www.drivingcenter.de/) offers driver safety training there.
