The Old Hong Kong is a chinese restaurant in the Dzirnavu iela (MillStreet) in Riga, Latvia. It is on the east side of the city, not far from the Esplanāde Park. The restaurant has indoor seating in two rooms, and features a somewhat traditional chinese decoration. Including the obligatory „beckoning cat“ (japanese in origin, often found as „lucky cat“ in chinese places as well).

Opening times are from around noon, until 10pm in the evening. Business lunch is available from 11:30 to 16:00.

While we were in the city on a secret mission in November 2024, we found this restaurant while looking for a dinner place.

We had „Chicken Spring Rolls“ (Spring rolli vistas un dārzeņu pavasara rllīši, 鸡肉春卷) and „Shrimp Chips“ (Garneļu čipsi, 虾片) as starters.

I ordered „Stewed Chicken with Mushrooms and Bamboo“ (Sautēts cālis ar sēnēm un bambusa asniem, 鸡肉双冬).

Afterwards we had „Fried Ice-Cream“ (Cepts saldējums, 炸冰淇淋球) as dessert.

How to find The Craft Burger

The restaurant is in a street with many living houses and some other restaurants. Look for the large, red „Old Hong Kong“ sign above the restaurant.
