The Strofi Athenian Restaurant (Στροφή Αθηναϊκό Εστιατόριο) is a Greek restaurant with a beautiful view at the Acropolis, especially at night.

It is located in a white corner house on Rovertou Galli and Propileon. Across the street is a small park, the restaurant is on the upper floor, looking over the trees.

This restaurant was opened back in 1975.

The restaurant has inside seating and a balcony with tables, also with a view at the Acropolis. Perfect location.

Visits here

After PGConf.EU 2024 conference in Athens was over, we came here for dinner on Friday evening. It is about 40 minutes walking from the conference venue. We passed by the Panathenaic Stadium (Παναθηναϊκό Στάδιο), the site of the first modern Olympic games in 1896. In the evening, we were able to go close to the gate - whereas day over this area is locked down and tourists are charged for access. But back to the Strofi Restaurant.

The menu is in Greek and English. As a group we ordered a couple or starters and mains, which got brought to the table one after another, and everyone can try everything.

After we tried the many main courses, we had a short break. This was used to take pictures and selfies of and with the Acropolis.
